Grammar - Students worked on an exercise to practise using pronouns, auxiliary verbs and other words to avoid repetition.
Use of English - Students did parts 4 & 5 of a Use of English test (Book 1 Test 4)and, once finished, discussed the answers with the teacher. At the same time pairs of students did speaking part 2 activity (page 54)with teacher under exam conditions.
Teacher gave feedback on speaking exercise.
Listening - Students did a listening test under exam conditions.(Book 1 Test 3)
Speaking - Students discussed their favourite novels in pairs and gave feedback to the class on the plot, the main characters and reasons why they liked the book. Students did the exercises on writing a review (p65)
Students took part in sentence bingo activity to practise the correct use of prepositions.
